KEY BISCAYNE – The L.D. Pankey Dental Foundation is proud to announce the winners of its third annual Dr. Donald C. “Ozzie” Asbjornson Scholarship competition for current dental students and residents to attend The Pankey Institute’s 2015 Annual Meeting. Named for Dr. Donald C. “Ozzie” Asbjornson’s honor, a giant in the Pankey Family, teacher, mentor, friend and beloved by all, it is truly fitting to have a student scholarship named after him as he was very influential in shaping so many young dentist’s minds. The purpose of this scholarship is to support the dentists of tomorrow and encourage a culture of lifelong learning.
Scholarship winners receive complimentary registration to Pankey’s Annual Meeting in New Orleans, September 17-19, 2015, as well as a stipend for travel. Recipients will also be paired with a mentor throughout the conference. The approximate value of the scholarship is $1,550.
The 2015 scholarship winners are: Adam Grimm, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry, Class of 2016; Nathan Nunnelee, University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, Class of 2016; and Kendrick Park, NYU College of Dentistry, Class of 2017.
