Dr. Campbell practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery but has several focuses. Personally, his focus is on replacing teeth with dental implants. He enjoys using the best techniques and technology available, through continued education, to provide the best care for simple and complex challenges when replacing teeth. Simple and complex bone grafting and gum grafting are also areas of focus. Lastly, a focus Dr. Campbell enjoys is performing elective jaw surgery to correct what is uncorrectable with orthodontics alone. He and the other doctors at OSST perform virtual surgery prior to most complex procedures with CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) and 3D modeling software.
Dr. Campbell was trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. His training was hospital based and included extensive training in anesthesia. Prior to specialty training he graduated with a biology degree from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. His dental training was completed at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He enjoys giving back to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program in Knoxville through developing and teaching the implant curriculum with Dr. Witherington, Dr. Cheung and Dr. Nagy. He also enjoys giving back to the dental field through his various publications.
