TMD Complete: Cases Start To Finish

This course will provide experiential learning for those treating TMD patients. You will explore how to make better diagnoses and learn about applications of multiple types of treatment therapies, while bringing you to a new level of knowledge regarding the anatomy.  This course is open to all experience levels.

Participants are encouraged to bring cases. These cases will be the framework of the course.

A systematic approach to diagnosing, and treatment will be taught along with an opportunity to use hands-on learning with the cases brought by participants. Each participant will see not only their cases solved, but experience how to overcome obstacles in many other cases.  The faculty will then show similar cases, going through the diagnosis and treatment from start to finish.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the medical diagnostic process for diagnosing facial pain
  • Learn refined techniques for treating Occlusal Muscle Disorder including efficient splint and occlusal adjustments
  • Learn Occlusal equilibration for improved esthetics in addition to stability and function.
  • Learn what to do when a centric relation appliance does not work
  • Learn when and how to order and interpret advanced imaging (MRI, CT, CBCT)
  • Learn how different facial asymmetries correlate to joint pathology
  • Understand how to utilize adjunct therapies including Physical Therapy, Chiropractic Therapy, Osteopathic Treatments, Cold Laser, and TENS
  • Learn surgical options for your patients with severe malocclusions and airway issues
  • Understand the many different diseases of TD
  • Learn how to identify the origin of pain; muscles vs. joint

Lodging: To enhance your learning experience and ease your travel, we offer accommodations a short walk from the Institute through the Pankey Condos at Key Colony. The Pankey Condos at Key Colony are a group of condo units with daily housekeeping service, well-equipped kitchens and common areas. You will have privileged access to pristine beachfront, walking trails, an Olympic size swimming pool, and equipped gym.

Accommodations are available in the Pankey Condos at Key Colony (two course participants per bedroom in a two or three bedroom condo). Single occupancy bedrooms are subject to availability for an additional charge.

Refund/Cancellation Policy: A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. The tuition balance is due 90 days prior to the start date of the course. Requests to cancel must be made in writing. Requests received prior to 90 days before the start of the course will be subject to forfeiture of the deposit and 50% of the course tuition, however, the remaining tuition may be transferred to another course date. No refunds or transfers will be issued for cancellations received within 90 days of the start of the course. Please allow 3 weeks for processing of refunds. Pankey reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course or scheduled faculty with advance notice to registrant. In no event shall Pankey be liable for any cancellation or change penalties assessed by the airlines, hotels, or other travel related expenses as a result of course date changes or course cancellations including changes related to weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.
