A No-Nonsense Look at Digital Dentistry
Led by Drs. Michael Fling, Shannon Griffin, and Brian Schroder
This will be a comprehensive look into the world of digital dentistry as it exists in 2012. This learning experience will benefit both individuals that currently utilize impressions or CAD/CAM systems, as well as those considering the incorporation of these technologies into their practices. In this cutting edge course the current state of preparation design, isolation, and soft tissue management will be discussed, particularly as these critical restorative considerations relate to achieving impeccable impressions with either contemporary conventional impression materials or digital image acquisition.
This unique, highly interactive, hands-on learning experience will allow participants to experience each of the major digital systems, scanning not only their own typodont preparations, but when appropriate, performing scans on one another. These experiences will take place in a completely commercial free environment allowing participants to evaluate how each system might perform in their own practice. Further, the newly emerging Digital Workflow, from scanned data to laboratory creation of final restorations will be presented, enabling an understanding of the rapid change that restorative dentistry is experiencing.
