From Shade Matching to Ceramic Layering: The Road to Predictable Success

In an era of constant change, it takes strong fundamental principles to make choices in materials and process that deliver predictability on an ongoing basis. This hands-on course uses a combination of scientific review and real life clinical experience. In order to deliver profitability in the commercial dental laboratory or clinical practice we need to make choices on limiting the risks of failure, catastrophic or aesthetic. This hands-on program is designed to help dentists and technicians looking to provide predictable outcomes for their restorative dentistry, focus on limiting the risk of failure and return to the joy of changing peoples' lives.

Learning objectives:

• To understand the diagnosis and impact of aesthetic risk
• Shade communication
• Restorative material selection, including ingot selection
• Using relevant information to layer an aesthetic ceramic restoration
• Final details and polishing ceramic restorations.

Prerequisite: None

Credits: The Pankey Institute designates this activity for 13 continuing education credits.

Tuition: $985 for dentists and technicians

Lodging: $250 shared occupancy; $390 single occupancy
