Dr. Brent graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1998. He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and is a past president of the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society. He was born and raised in California and moved to North Carolina to attend dental school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. In his spare time he enjoys family, friends, and triathlons- including completing 2 Ironman triathlons. You will also find his photography decorating the office.
Bush Family Dentistry is proud to be the dentists that other Wilmington dentists and staff visit.
We are proud to use a local dental lab for our crowns, implants and cosmetic cases. Having a local lab allows us to work very closely with our lab technician to ensure the success of your treatment.
Bush Family Dentistry is also proud to provide dental services for the underserved, both locally and globally. We have volunteered many hours at local clinics, the dental department and Cape Fear Community College as Dental Advisors, the MOM clinic, and the NC mobile dental bus. Globally, both Dr. Brent and Dr. Karen have traveled to the remote areas of the Amazon River in Brazil with their church (St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church) to provide dental care to many villages along the banks of the Amazon. In our office, we have provided outreach care to missionaries from Malawi, Africa and for translators to the American Belarussian Relief Organization (ABRO).
We are also heavily involved with continuing education. Both Dr. Brent and Dr. Karen are involved with a small group study club out of Charlotte that addresses management of TMJ/muscle pain.
