Dr. Kathryn Burggraaf
Dr. Katie Burggraaf, a Grand Rapids Native. attended Forest Hills Central High School and the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2003. Her extracurricular activities in Ann Arbor included playing center on the women’s ice hockey team.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Burggraaf enrolled in the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2007. She was awarded the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-doctoral Student Award by faculty members.
Dr. Burggraaf spent her early dental career as an associate in Boston, MA. In 2011, she moved back to West Michigan with her husband David. They welcomed their son Declan to their family in 2015. In their leisure time, Dr. Burggraaf’s family enjoys traveling and spending time on or around water, along with their dog, Yost.
Dr. Burggraaf strives to continuously learn and has spent much time studying at the Pankey Institute in order to better serve her patients with a comprehensive approach to treatment. In addition, She actively participates in study clubs where she is able to learn and grown with like-minded dentists and specialists. She feels strongly about providing exceptional care to her patients with a focus on relationship building and trust. Dr. Burggraaf is also volunteering at the Baxter clinic to help serve some of the communities more underprivileged.
