Dr. Steven A. Avena
Dr. Avena graduated from University of Pacific in 1984. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for his undergraduate studies. Dr. Avena was raised in Las Vegas, his family moved here in the early 1960's. He went to Hyde Park Middle School and graduated from Clark High School in 1977. In 1982 he married a local girl, Jennifer Duncan, and they chose to raise their family, two daughters, Christa & Katie and a son, Steven, in McNeil Estates, (around the corner from where he was raised). He started his practice in 1984 in the Sahara Rancho Medical Center and has been at his current location since 2003. He has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. Since graduating from Dental School, Dr. Avena has had training at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. He completed the L.D. Pankey's Continuums in 1995 and keeps up to date by attending continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. His patients enjoy his light touch and caring attitude.
